Salke is currently under an overall deal with Disney Television Studios, of which 20th TV is a part. Bert Salke will executive produce under his Co-Lab 21 banner, with 20th Television producing. This will be Paolini’s first time writing a television project, which is why a search is on for a co-writter. Paolini will serve as co-writer and co-showrunner, with the search currently on for a co-writer and co-showrunner to work alongside him. And of course, as the elves would say, “Atra esterní ono thelduin.” Christopher Paolini You brought the thunder.ĭisney will have more to say on this adaptation in the near future, but in the meantime, I wanted to confirm the news and to reassure you that I’m committed to making sure that this version of Eragon’s story lives up to your highest expectations. The entire Christopher Paolini list of books in order of reading starting from Eragon in his Inheritance Cycle series. So a huge thank you from me to every Alagaesian out there. However, none of this would have been possible without everyone who has read the books, supported the tweetstorms, and participated in this fandom over the years. And yes, I’m extremely excited for what the future holds. It's just that my expectations for the movie was too great, expecting it to be like Harry Potter or LOTR and I ended up disappointed. I read the book and like it as a fun and enjoyable fantasy adventure.

Take note that I am not bashing the storyline or the book. They look more like big sized men with tattoos. The Urgals do not look like what they are described in the book. Lot's of important locations and events gone. The Story moves at too fast a pace which leads back to Point 2 and 5. A 497 page book cut down to become a 1 and a half hour movie. Important characters having less than 10 minutes of screen time. A LOT of stuff was cut out from the book.
